But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.- Isaiah 40:31

Tough Stuff
Today's run was torture, all the way around. My legs were dead, I had no air, and everything hurt. I didn't enjoy one little bit of it. And that's all I have to say about that.
I've got one word for the great way the day ended though: LobsterFest!
A local TV station wanted 21 volunteers to train together all spring and summer for a half marathon - that's 13.1 miles - to be run in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 27, 2008. They wanted people who'd never run before and who were the least likely to do something like this.
At 50 years old and someone who can hardly bear to even say the word "exercise," let alone do it, I qualify and I applied.
