But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.- Isaiah 40:31
My sentiments exactly! Especially if it is dark chocolate.
I check out your blog occasionally. My friend of Beckie of Dragonflycorner has fibro, and I know how debilitating it can be. I am so impressed by all you have accomplished. I don't have fibro, and I can't imagine running a mile, let alone a half-marathon!
Hi Rose! Thanks for popping over and making yourself known! And thanks for your encouragement. It helps to know that others are with me in thought!
Yeah, fibro can be a booger sometimes. I think that's what made Saturday's run so horrible. I just couldn't do anything well or without pain. But some days are like that!
A local TV station wanted 21 volunteers to train together all spring and summer for a half marathon - that's 13.1 miles - to be run in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 27, 2008. They wanted people who'd never run before and who were the least likely to do something like this.
At 50 years old and someone who can hardly bear to even say the word "exercise," let alone do it, I qualify and I applied.
